1

Create your timer in GifyLabs

Sign in to GifyLabs and create a new countdown timer. Customize the design to match your HubSpot email template.

2

Copy the embed code

From your GifyLabs dashboard, click the copy icon to copy the embed code. You'll need either the full <img> tag or just the image URL.

3

Open your HubSpot email editor

In HubSpot, navigate to Marketing → Email and open the email you want to edit.

4

Add an Image module

Drag an "Image" module into your email layout. Instead of uploading an image, switch to the "Source URL" option and paste the timer image URL (the src="..." part of the embed code).

5

Set alt text for accessibility

Set the alt text to something descriptive like "Countdown Timer — Sale ends Friday" for accessibility and image-blocked email clients.

6

Alternative: use an HTML module

For more control, use an HTML module instead. Paste the full GifyLabs embed code directly into the HTML editor.

7

Preview and test

Click "Preview" to check the timer on desktop and mobile. Send a test email to verify the animated countdown renders correctly.

Tips

  • HubSpot's Image module is the simplest approach — just paste the timer URL as the image source.

  • Use the HTML module if you need to add a clickable link wrapper around your timer.

  • HubSpot supports animated GIFs natively in both the drag-and-drop editor and coded templates.

  • For HubSpot workflows, use evergreen timers to create personalized urgency for each contact.
